FRIDAY OF THE 2ND WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME

20TH JANUARY 2023

THEME: A MAN TO BE PROCLAIMED TO THE WHOLE WORLD.

From the Gospel, Jesus called to him those whom he desired, and they came to him. Similarly we are called Christians because He chose and desired us, we have come and He has appointed us to go and preach and have authority to cast out demons. A very great privilege and noble task bestowed upon us as Christians.

Are we aware that we possess this authority with us? We are sent out there to preach the Gospel, to make known to the world a Man who has obtained a new ministry that is enacted on better promises . We are bound to proclaim that Jesus is Christ, the Son of the living God. (Mat 16:16) Because of him we come to know the God we cannot see. He is the firstborn of all creation; in him all things find their being. (Col 1:15) Man’s teacher and redeemer, he was born for us, died for us, and for us he rose from the dead.

He knows us and loves us; he is a guy of pain and hope. We know that he will be the total completion of our life and the source of our immense enjoyment for all of eternity. He is our buddy and stands by us throughout our lives. At the end of time, he will stand as our judge. He quenches our thirst and quenches our hunger and is our source of living water. He is our brother, our shepherd, our ideal, our leader, and our consolation.

He is just like us in all respects—simple, impoverished, and humble—but he is also more patient despite being overworked. He advocated for us, performed miracles, and established a new kingdom where the underprivileged are content, shared life is based on peace, the grieving and the goodhearted are comforted, the hungry are fed, the guilty are pardoned, and everyone realizes they are brothers. I'm going to show you a picture of Jesus Christ. He has already claimed most of us as his own; as Christians, we share his name.

Therefore not to preach the Gospel would be our undoing, for Christ himself sent us as his apostles and witnesses to the world and we must make the world to know Him. Let us reflect today upon our duties to share the Gospel with others, apart from explicit sharing messages of Christ, the messages should be shared more by our actions and virtues. When Christians fulfill this mission with True authority from Christ, the Kingdom of God increases and the activity of the evil one is overcome.

May God bless you and keep you always in his love! BLESSED DAY TO YOU ALL!
